A solo founder with an agent fleet

Behind that idea is an unusual development story. Gewerkton is being built by a solo founder directing a fleet of coding agents using Codex and Claude. In one night, that fleet shipped 21 software packages. The work was checked with negative controls and mutation tests, methods designed to challenge whether testing can detect deliberately introduced problems rather than merely confirm that software runs as expected.

That combination gives the project its human centre. There is one founder setting the direction, but not one person writing every line unaided. The coding agents operate as a software-building fleet, while the founder remains responsible for steering the work. It is a compact model applied to a platform intended for sprawling, complicated projects.

The contrast is striking: a solo operation building for sites where many trades, companies and languages may overlap. Gewerkton’s answer is not to reduce those environments to a single narrow workflow. Instead, its three product lines divide the work between the site, the browser and the underlying coordination layer.

From a spoken note to site evidence

Gewerkton Field is the voice-first construction site app. It covers dictation to evidence, defects, daywork reports, takt and portal functions. Takt is a way of organising construction work into a repeating sequence, helping teams coordinate when and where different trades are expected to work.

For a worker on a scaffold, the central proposition is less abstract: dictate what happened at the point of work rather than reconstructing it later. In housing and building construction, that can mean recording a defect with a photograph and deadline, dictating a daywork report or collecting a signature on the device during handover.

The same capture model applies differently elsewhere. Wind farms and renewable-energy projects often involve distributed sites, rotating crews and field acceptance. Offline capture is intended for the dead zones where a connection is unavailable. On infrastructure and tunnel projects, where work can continue for long periods and produce many change orders, instructions can remain backed by the original audio.

Voice is not treated merely as a shortcut for typing. It becomes the original input for a record that must travel beyond the person who made it. That distinction is central to Gewerkton’s pitch: the spoken observation belongs inside the project workflow, not in a separate voice memo waiting to be interpreted.

The browser becomes a working space

Gewerkton Studio is the browser workspace for plans and models. Where a model already exists, teams can work with it there. Where no model exists, the site team can create one in the browser.

This expands the platform beyond capturing events in the field. Plans and models provide the shared context in which evidence, decisions and tasks can be understood. The ability to create a model in the browser also addresses projects where the ideal digital starting point is missing.

Data centres and industrial plants illustrate the coordination problem. Many trades may be working in parallel against tight deadlines. Gewerkton is designed so that decisions made in meetings can become task lists sorted by trade, giving each group a clearer view of what follows from the discussion.

Gewerkton Cloud provides operations and model or data coordination between Field, Studio and third parties. Together, the three lines form one branded house: Field captures and supports work on site, Studio provides the browser environment for plans and models, and Cloud coordinates the information moving between them and other parties.

Twenty-seven languages, with region selectable

International construction is not simply a matter of translating a finished report. On cross-border projects, teams from Europe, the United States and Asia-Pacific may work on the same project while each person uses their own language. Gewerkton supports 27 content languages so that multilingual handling can run from capture to report, while the original evidence remains unambiguous.

That is particularly relevant to projects in Asia involving Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese crews. Language choice covers the working record, while data residency remains selectable. Customers can choose an EU cloud or their own infrastructure.

The platform’s BYO-AI approach adds another layer of choice. It supports 13 AI providers, allows users to bring their own keys and lets them select a region across the EU, US or Asia, including mainland China. The stated aim is to avoid vendor lock-in while allowing organisations to choose providers according to regional needs.

For a software company introducing a complex platform, that absence of tracking machinery is a notable part of how it presents itself.

The company has also produced a media bank containing more than 51 clips and posters. Those materials give the young brand a substantial visual register even while the product remains in beta.

There is still a significant distance between a beta platform and an established standard across global construction. Gewerkton states its stage plainly: it is in beta now, and the public beta is planned for fall 2026. What makes it worth watching is the clarity of the wager. One founder, assisted by a fleet of coding agents, is building a system around the belief that the most natural interface on a busy site may be the human voice.
